Nocturnal insects such as mosquitos are sensitive to a different part of of the light spectrum than humans. They are more sensitive to the blue-violet-indigo end of the spectrum, and many are practically blind to yellow light.

Our specially engineered yellow LED lights have a dominant wavelength of 600nm, and completely cuts off light below 500nm. This creates a zone that is pitch black to most nocturnal insects, and thereby effectively warding them off from the illuminated area.

Most of our end users opt for yellow T8 tubes for residential use. Yellow high bays are most common in industrial settings, and are especially popular in textile industries. Upon request, we will make yellow LED lights in other form factors. We can repurpose almost all of our existing products to come with the capability of repelling nocturnal insects.
